Numa Player is a free, four-track MIDI player available for download from the App Store. It allows you to create and play meaningful compositions using ChordWalk quickly. With a wide range of Virtual Instrument sounds and effects, Numa Player is a fantastic tool for beginners and those looking to have fun with music creation.
The images below show how to set up Numa Player to work with ChordWalk. Additionally, the video provides a step-by-step guide to help you start creating and playing almost immediately. Numa Player enables you to assign individual MIDI input channels to each Virtual Instrument track, allowing independent pairing with different creative areas in ChordWalk.
To send MIDI data between ChordWalk and Numa Player on an iPad, both applications need to recognize Local MIDI Apps. In ChordWalk, Numa Player should be set as a destination, and in Numa Player, ChordWalk should be set as a source.
Numa Player must be setup to recognise “Local |MIDI Apps” as a source.
Open the main menu in Numa Player as shown below.
From the dropdown, select Audio/MIDI,
Then select MIDI Inputs,
Then activate “LocalApps MIDI Source”
The MIDI signals sent from the individual channels assigned to each creation area will be routed to the corresponding MIDI channels in the individual instrument tracks in Numa Player. From the settings menu, assign channel numbers to the individual tracks by rotating the channel assignment knob.
